Halloween is a fun celebration of masks and ghost figures and mechanized doorbell witches cackling, as also a highly anticipated evening of trick-or-treating. The ancient ritual of appeasing departed spirits is today kids dressing up and strolling the neighborhood seeking candy in their jack-o-lantern buckets. But what exactly is Halloween?
